Eligibility Specialist

The Eligibility Specialist works onsite in Lancaster, PA, on a full-time schedule of 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 37.5 hours per week. Pay is $17–$19.50 per hour. The role supports the Early Learning Resource Center’s subsidized childcare program. This casework position determines and redetermines family eligibility for childcare subsidies, maintains accurate case information, and coordinates with families, providers, and partner departments so program decisions and service updates follow applicable policies and deadlines.

What you'll do

• Determine and redetermine eligibility for subsidized childcare services
• maintain alerts and tracking data in PELICAN CCW
• enroll families and process childcare transfers
• collaborate with ELRC and CAP departments
• explain funding and eligibility criteria to parents, caretakers, and providers
• verify ongoing eligibility against OCDEL policies
• interpret DHS regulations
• maintain accurate files and manage caseload workflow to meet deadlines.
