Bilingual Child Life Assistant

Job overview

The Bilingual Child Life Assistant role is onsite in Chicago, IL, with pay of $22–$28 per hour. This part-time, temporary position is expected to begin in mid-October 2026 and end April 23, 2027. Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center works with children and families and coordinates with child life, mental health, advocacy, and forensic interviewing teams. The assistant creates a developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed environment, supports children and families during center visits, and helps children prepare for appointments. The role uses play and activities to encourage coping, observes and communicates behavioral concerns to the appropriate team members, and maintains child life records and materials.

• Provide developmentally appropriate and culturally competent play materials and activities
