This engineer leads the development and optimization of precision machining processes and dimensional-control strategies, helping make complex magnet geometries manufacturable to tight tolerances. The work includes process trials, capability analysis, equipment support, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Develop and refine cutting, grinding, shaping, and finishing processes for rare earth permanent magnets
• apply GD&T to drawings
• optimize design for manufacturability and develop prototypes
• analyze machining data using Cpk/Ppk, gauge R&R, and SPC
• oversee pilot equipment installation and operation
• design fixtures and tooling
• lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• improve throughput, scrap, and dimensional control
• mentor engineers and technicians
• coordinate with EHS on safety and environmental compliance.
