What you'll do

• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct Nursing Department operations
• ensure nursing procedures and protocols are followed
• supervise and instruct staff
• help maintain adequate staffing on all shifts
• audit charts and electronic health records
• assist with resident care plans and care conferences
• recruit, interview, and select staff with Administrator approval
• schedule work hours and assignments
• conduct rounds and monitor nursing duties, medication passes, and treatment schedules
• ensure professional nursing licenses are current
• participate in education, infection control, and quality assurance activities. Requires a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin, at least one year of nursing service administration experience, and current CPR certification or certification within two weeks.
