The responder investigates, triages, manages, and helps remediate cyber incidents to protect network security and operational integrity. The work includes forensic and threat analysis, coordination with partner organizations, incident documentation, training, and collaboration with Red Teams to strengthen response capabilities.

What you'll do

• Analyze network and host artifacts to investigate incidents and identify root causes and impacts
• triage incidents and recommend mitigations
• manage incidents from detection through resolution and document actions under the cited DoD incident-handling program
• conduct forensic collections, intrusion correlation, threat analysis, and remediation
• collaborate with subordinate organizations, law enforcement, and counterintelligence teams
• update response procedures and deliver quarterly training
• work with Red Teams on penetration-testing exercises
• maintain quality against government-defined metrics.
