The Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Emergency Room, Swing Shift role is onsite in Charlottesville, VA, with stated pay of $28–$35 per hour. The ER and ICU Department provides 24/7 advanced care for pets and their families. The LVT delivers emergency veterinary nursing and technical support, assisting with urgent procedures, diagnostics, triage, and client education to help the department provide timely, coordinated care. The schedule is three 11 a.m.–11 p.m. swing shifts.

What you'll do

• Provide veterinary nursing care including restraint, postoperative care, catheter placement, wound management, and bandaging. Assist with emergency procedures, anesthesia, surgical preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• provide CPR, fluid therapy, oxygen, and transfusions
• conduct diagnostic and laboratory testing
• operate diagnostic equipment
• triage and document patients
• educate clients
• and maintain a safe, organized ER environment.
