Head Start Bus Driver

The Head Start Bus Driver is an onsite, part-time position in Clinton, IL, paying $18.11 per hour. The role supports the safe and timely transportation of Head Start children and volunteers for Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois.

What you'll do

• Complete and report pre-trip inspections
• follow traffic laws, safety rules and Head Start transportation procedures
• keep the bus clean and safe
• schedule maintenance and inspections
• develop and maintain routes in trip-routing software
• monitor weather and road conditions
• conduct scheduled emergency evacuation drills
• submit paperwork
• interact with children appropriately and assist in the classroom under teacher guidance.
