The lieutenant supervises sworn police, security, and communications personnel, manages emergency and non-emergency response, and coordinates preparedness training. The role contributes to campus safety and officer development through drills, shift supervision, incident oversight, and training.

What you'll do

• Conduct annual emergency preparedness drills and classroom training
• keep the Police Captain informed about campus activities and incidents
• inspect patrol cars and security booths
• conduct building drills every three months
• supervise officers and incident-report completion
• supervise shifts when the supervisor is absent
• coordinate emergency preparedness training with residential hall managers
• supervise personnel at assigned university events.
