The Medical Director — Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role is in-person and/or telehealth as approved by Ascend Mental Health, based in Baltimore, MD. Compensation is $65–$85 per hour, and the position is 20 hours per week. Ascend Mental Health is an outpatient clinic providing therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, and medication management across the Baltimore metro area. The PMHNP combines clinical care with program oversight to support medication management and alignment with quality and compliance standards. The role contributes to clinical program effectiveness through psychiatric evaluations, treatment-plan review, collaboration with agency leadership, staff consultation, documentation, and quality improvement.

What you'll do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care
• review and approve treatment plans for clients receiving medication services
• collaborate with leadership on clinical policies and procedures
• complete compliant documentation within 48 hours of service delivery
• participate in leadership, quarterly staff, and strategic planning meetings
• provide clinical consultation and mentorship and collaborate on complex cases
• contribute to internal audits, peer feedback, and quality improvement initiatives.
