RAMS Lead

The RAMS Lead role is onsite in Sacramento, CA, with compensation of $160,000–$240,000 per year. The lead provides technical direction for reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety assurance across major rail and transit projects. The role guides teams, deliverables, client coordination, and project controls to integrate safety requirements and support compliant project delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead RAMS and safety assurance activities across rail and transit projects
• provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight
• direct Safety Management Plans, hazard analyses, hazard logs, SIL and RAM allocations
• serve as technical interface with clients, regulators, independent assessors, and stakeholders
• lead safety cases and regulatory submissions
• maintain processes aligned with EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, NFPA 130, and applicable requirements
• guide design reviews
• lead safety assessments, audits, and independent reviews
• oversee hazard analyses, testing, and verification and validation
• manage scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and technical risk
• support proposals, client engagement, and technical presentations
• travel as required for project and client needs.
