Certified Nurse Aide

The Certified Nurse Aide role is onsite in Jackson, MI. Compensation is $17 per hour. Intersect Healthcare of Jackson provides nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. The aide delivers individualized care according to resident care plans, supports daily living and personal-care needs, observes and reports changes, and helps maintain residents’ comfort, dignity, and safety. A current Michigan CNA certification or completion of an approved training program with eligibility to test is required; certification must be obtained within four months of hire.

What you'll do

• Provide nursing care and individualized attention according to resident care plans
• assist with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and other care needs
• maintain resident comfort, privacy, and dignity
• observe and report changes in condition or behavior
• answer call lights
• perform assigned tasks such as checking vital signs, weighing residents, applying creams, and collecting specimens
• document care
• follow safety and infection-control procedures.
