The Glass Lead, 1st Shift / Area Lead role is onsite in Dallas, TX. Base pay is $24 per hour. Cornerstone Building Brands manufactures exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings. The area lead coordinates production-line readiness and supports line leads and employees throughout the shift. By monitoring schedules, quality, safety, and throughput, the role helps production teams meet operational goals and address line issues.

What you'll do

• Model and enforce safety practices and required PPE
• prepare and distribute production schedules
• monitor line progress and attendance
• meet with line leads about production priorities
• support new-hire onboarding and training
• ensure production boards are updated
• prioritize remakes and follow up on complete carts and labels
• keep employees productive during downtime
• troubleshoot production issues and help lines meet throughput goals
• hold lines accountable for quality and CTQ guidelines
• operate production equipment
• communicate hourly line status and shift handoffs
• cover line-lead duties when needed.

Why this role

Monday–Friday schedule with a 5:00 AM start; shifts may run up to 12 hours, and Saturdays or overtime may be required as production needs dictate.
