The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is onsite in Roanoke, Virginia, providing hospice care in patients’ living environments. The posting lists pay of $19–$22 per hour. The hospice aide works under a registered nurse’s supervision to support comfort and carry out care assigned under each patient’s plan of care. The aide provides personal care and assistance with daily activities, observes and documents care, and reports symptoms or changes in condition to the RN Case Manager. The role contributes to safe, continuous hospice care while respecting patients’ and families’ needs and following organizational procedures.

What you'll do

• Provide assigned personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, feeding, and linen changes
• assist with ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, and range of motion as directed
• observe skin and report pain, symptoms, or changes in condition to the RN Case Manager
• document care and observations
• assist with self-administered medication reminders as permitted by state regulations
• maintain a safe, orderly patient living area
• provide respite when appropriate.
