The Principal / Senior Technology Risk Analyst role is onsite in Boston, MA. Base salary is $160,000 to $180,000 per year, with annual bonus eligibility. Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance provides commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance and is hiring for its Technology Governance Risk Audit & Compliance team. The analyst strengthens enterprise technology risk management by identifying, assessing, communicating, and monitoring risks. The role partners with technology leaders and control owners to evaluate risk posture, recommend practical risk-reducing actions, and support governance across technology operations and global offices.

What you'll do

• Lead technology risk identification, assessment, and monitoring
• maintain the technology risk register
• drive risk and control self-assessments
• advise on control design for identity and access, change and release, resiliency, cloud security, data protection, and vulnerability management
• define KRIs/KPIs and risk dashboards
• review critical vendors and SOC reports
• track remediation and validate controls
• assess AI and automation use cases for privacy, security, explainability, and bias risks
• educate teams on risk expectations and evidence quality.

Why this role

Requires 10+ years of technology risk, technology audit/compliance, or cyber GRC experience. Experience with RCSAs, KRIs/KPIs, vendor risk reviews, SOC 2, and risk frameworks is sought; GRC tools, AI experience, and professional certifications are pluses.
