The Manufacturing Buyer role is onsite in Houston, TX, in the Channelview area, with pay of $32–$40 per hour. The buyer manages procurement from supplier sourcing through Procure-to-Pay for materials and services. The role supports plant operations and capital projects by negotiating terms, managing orders, monitoring supplier performance and identifying cost and process improvements.

What you'll do

• Lead Procure-to-Pay for assigned categories
• source and negotiate purchases of MRO materials, capital equipment, contract labor, industrial supplies and services
• manage spot purchases up to $500,000
• administer RFIs, RFQs and RFPs
• create and maintain purchase and service orders and supplier agreements
• monitor supplier performance
• partner with plant departments
• maintain records and identify savings and process efficiencies.
