Behavioral Health Technician and Driver

Job overview

The Behavioral Health Technician and Driver role is an onsite, full-time position in Ann Arbor, MI, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or another full-time equivalent. Compensation is $17–$18 per hour. New Oakland Family Centers provides psychiatric care, therapeutic counseling, and educational services to individuals and families; this role supports its FACE to FACE Partial Hospital Day program. The role combines direct consumer support, transportation, and administrative assistance to help the program meet daily milieu goals. The technician transports consumers safely, co-facilitates groups with a licensed clinician, documents care, supports meals and supervision, and responds to crises according to training and clinic procedures.

What you'll do

• Transport consumers to and from the facility
• help plan efficient routes
• provide daily consumer support and co-facilitate group therapy with a licensed clinician
• complete documentation
• respond to crisis situations, including CPI-approved physical intervention and CPR if necessary
• supervise meals and milieu activities
• maintain the environment and supplies
• communicate with staff and attend team meetings.
