Lead Intraoperative Monitoring Technologist

The technologist collects and interprets real-time electrophysiological data during surgery, documents findings for physician interpretation, and coordinates case assignments and schedules. The lead also assists new technologists after completing training.

What you'll do

• Conduct preoperative patient assessments and intraoperative sensory and motor testing
• explain procedures to patients and families
• apply recording electrodes
• calibrate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment
• communicate neurological monitoring data to the surgical team
• identify artifacts and recognize normal and abnormal patterns
• document surgical events, waveforms, and technical observations
• coordinate calendars and case assignments
• assist new technologists after training.
