What you'll do

• Prepare and serve food and beverages
• follow prescribed menus and set up hot and cold food lines
• check food temperatures and prepare service areas
• clean work areas, facilities, utensils, and equipment
• wash and organize service ware
• address day-to-day equipment and supply issues
• replenish food and serving items
• coordinate meal schedules for programs and events
• plan healthy, appealing, fresh, diverse, and age-appropriate meals
• monitor portions and leftovers
• provide guidance and training to related food service staff
• follow food safety, sanitation, and school policies.
