Mainstage Music Director – Musical Theatre, Part-Time

The Mainstage Music Director – Musical Theatre role is onsite in Danville, CA, and pays $25–$30 per hour. The music director teaches and leads vocal music for Mainstage productions, helping student performers develop vocal skills and ensemble cohesion. The role collaborates with the production director to align musical work with staging and the production’s vision.

What you'll do

• Teach vocal music, harmonies, and ensemble work to cast members
• lead music rehearsals and vocal warm-ups
• provide age-appropriate vocal technique instruction and coaching
• support accurate musical interpretation and ensemble cohesion
• create music-learning materials, including harmony tracks
• collaborate with the Director on staging and vision
• adjust harmonies to fit cast abilities and vocal ranges
• attend final dress rehearsal and provide notes to the cast.
