After School Program Staff

The After School Program Staff role is onsite in Cambridge, MA, Monday–Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on full school days; compensation is hourly and based on experience and qualifications, with no numeric rate specified. The role supports Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School’s after-school program for PK–6th grade students. Working in a team of two, the staff member supervises children, leads age-appropriate activities, and supports positive social interactions and students’ academic, social, and emotional development. Maintaining a safe, welcoming environment and communicating with families and school staff contributes to a supportive program after the school day.

What you'll do

• Supervise students and ensure their safety and well-being
• plan and lead games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play with a coworker
• assist with snacks, transitions, attendance, and routines
• foster positive behavior, social skills, and conflict resolution
• maintain a clean and welcoming environment
• communicate with families, coworkers, and school staff
• follow program policies, safety procedures, and licensing requirements.
