Collection Specialist

Job overview

What you'll do

• Contact borrowers about past-due accounts by phone, email, and written correspondence
• develop and negotiate repayment arrangements
• analyze delinquent accounts and borrower circumstances
• recommend recovery actions, including repossession or legal escalation when necessary
• document account activity
• follow collection procedures and applicable laws
• monitor portfolio trends and communicate lending or underwriting concerns
• provide professional customer service.
