Part-Time Transportation Officer

What you'll do

• Securely transport detainees
• assist management with unexpected transportation problems
• review vehicle inspection reports and prepare summaries
• ensure permits and licenses are current
• check required safety equipment before trips and report issues
• track DOT hours of service on electronic logging devices
• participate in interviewing and screening transport officer applicants
• review and submit required paperwork
• ensure missions meet or exceed PBNDS/FBNDS safety measures.

Why this role

Requires three years of qualifying law enforcement, corrections, detention, or military police experience; two years of transportation driving experience; leadership experience; and relevant training and certification. CDL or permit preferred, with CDL required within six months. Extended travel and overnight stays may be required.
