The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.
What you'll do
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensure the prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
- Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology from an AMA accredited program
- Experience
- Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology. Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually. Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing program). BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
