Engineering Production Specialist

The Engineering Production Specialist role is onsite five days per week in Lexington, MA; the candidate must be within 100 miles. Compensation is not specified. The role supports a leading defense research organization through engineering development and prototype manufacturing. The specialist translates engineering technical data into executable manufacturing processes and documentation, connecting engineering and fabrication teams so prototype hardware can be built, integrated, and delivered to program requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop manufacturing documentation for prototype hardware
• validate work instructions with manufacturing personnel
• update instructions based on build feedback, engineering changes, lessons learned, and process improvements
• support rapid-turn prototype builds with configuration and revision control
• collaborate in design-for-manufacturing, kickoff, and readiness reviews
• incorporate inspection and acceptance requirements
• support non-conformance resolution and continuous improvement.
