The Traveling Project Engineer – Mission Critical role is an onsite traveling position initially based in Point Pleasant, WV, with additional listed locations in California, Washington, Texas, and Ohio. The listed salary range is $132,000–$188,000 per year, including a 25% annual uplift during the initial West Virginia assignment; a living allowance and project completion bonus may also be available under stated conditions. The role supports Shimmick’s Project Monarch data center infrastructure project. The project engineer coordinates construction activities and documentation, helping field leadership and project teams deliver complex electrical infrastructure safely and in accordance with project requirements. The role supports cost control, scheduling, quality assurance, and communication among project stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Assist with day-to-day project activities and field operations
• review drawings, specifications, and submittals
• prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews
• support cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance
• ensure safety and environmental compliance
