Food Services Assistant

Job overview

The Food Services Assistant position is onsite in Pasadena, CA, with a Sunday–Thursday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pay is $22–$24 per hour. The role supports Union Station Homeless Services’ Food Services Program. The assistant helps operate food services by preparing meals, supporting breakfast service, managing food donations and inventory, maintaining kitchen and storage areas, and delivering meals to Union Station locations. The work contributes to safe, organized meal service for the organization’s patrons.

What you'll do

• Welcome patrons, volunteers, and donors
• guide volunteers with breakfast preparation and service
• organize and safely process food donations
• assist with food and paper-goods inventory and menu planning
• prepare and cook food as needed
• maintain kitchen equipment and sanitary conditions
• organize pantry and food storage areas
• deliver meals to Union Station locations.
