The technologist exercises professional judgment, maintains ethical conduct, and provides appropriate patient care while working closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies.

What you'll do

• Perform all Diagnostic Radiologic Procedures
• Demonstrate technique to produce optimal study
• Correctly use all equipment in clinical area, including but not limited to: fluoro, c-arm, Tomo, and portable units
• Interpret physician orders prior to performing exam to ensure optimal study
• Refer technique/study issues to Senior Tech/Radiologist as appropriate
• Utilize appropriate markers/ID on each exam
• Assist radiologist with procedures
• Demonstrate sterile technique as appropriate
• Prepare patient for exams
• Demonstrate awareness of physician supply preferences and/or uses Radiology preference cards
• Verbalize indication for various contrast mediums
• Provide patient care throughout procedure
• Assess patient’s level of understanding regarding procedure to be performed
• provide information as needed, at appropriate level for patient
• Ensure patient safety throughout exam

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program

Experience

2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care setting - preferred
