Governance, Risk, and Compliance Analyst

The Governance, Risk, and Compliance Analyst role is hybrid in Phoenix, AZ, with work performed within Arizona unless an exception is authorized. Compensation is not specified. The analyst supports the Department of Economic Security's Division of Technology Services on its Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. The role strengthens information security and compliance by assessing risks, reviewing audits and security documentation, investigating suspicious network activity, and reporting findings and corrective actions. It also works with users and project teams to identify information needs, improve systems and processes, and support adoption and training.

What you'll do

• Perform risk assessments and audit reviews
• generate findings reports, recommendations, and outcome tracking
• document non-compliance, required POA&Ms, environmental observations, and incidents
• review and maintain security audit plans and risk documentation
• evaluate data and investigate suspicious network activity
• prepare and edit audit documentation
• research security standards, laws, regulations, and best practices
• support user adoption, training, and customer service
• work with users and project managers on information analysis requirements and project artifacts.
