Computer Network Defense Analyst

The Computer Network Defense Analyst role is fully onsite, with day-shift opportunities in Arlington, VA and night-shift opportunities in San Antonio, TX. Annual salary is $110,000–$120,000. The analyst supports the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) effort to protect networked systems and services as it transitions to a secure cloud environment. The analyst detects and responds to network incidents, investigates security alerts, and documents findings to support timely review and action. The role contributes to a 24x7 mission-critical network defense operation and coordinates with infrastructure, storage, database, and application teams.

What you'll do

• Detect, correlate, identify, and characterize anomalous network activity
• monitor security tools and investigate alerts
• recommend mitigation strategies
• document security events and analysis
• address customer-raised issues
• perform and document system checks
• assist with threat forecasting and modeling
• coordinate monitoring with technical teams during the secure cloud transition.
