The Chief of Philanthropy role is onsite in Milpitas, CA, with a salary range of $230,000–$250,000 per year. Humane Society Silicon Valley works in animal welfare through adoption, foster programs, veterinary care, behavior and training support, community programs, and regional rescue partnerships. Reporting to the President and Executive Director, the Chief of Philanthropy leads fundraising strategy and donor engagement to generate sustainable revenue aligned with HSSV’s priorities. The role oversees philanthropy programs and team operations, cultivates major donors, and represents the organization in the community.

What you'll do

• Lead multi-year philanthropy strategy and fundraising execution
• build cross-functional partnerships
• develop and empower the philanthropy team
• direct capital campaigns and special fundraising initiatives
• maintain a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects
• oversee individual, annual, planned, institutional, and endowment giving, grants, donor stewardship, and partnerships
• manage budgets and operations
• use data and analytics
• ensure ethical fundraising
• represent HSSV and build community partnerships.
