Fire Apparatus Electrical Technician

The Fire Apparatus Electrical Technician role is onsite in Luverne, MN, with compensation of $20–$35 per hour depending on experience. Midwest Fire builds custom fire trucks that support community protection; it is part of employee-owned Stellar Industries. The technician wires, assembles, and integrates electrical systems in custom fire apparatus. The role installs and troubleshoots 12V and AC systems, performs multiplex programming, and follows safety and quality procedures to help deliver reliable vehicles.

What you'll do

• Route 12V and DC/AC wiring
• install and terminate lighting, switches, and accessories
• integrate generators, light towers, and AC accessories
• install electrical components
• perform 110/220V wiring where applicable
• read schematics
• troubleshoot battery systems
• program multiplex systems
• assist with plumbing and fabrication as needed
• operate shop equipment safely
• document non-conformance issues.
