The Registered Nurse — Preoperative / Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU) role is onsite in Redwood City, CA, with a Monday–Friday variable-shift schedule. It pays $60–$90 per hour. Peninsula Surgery Center is a freestanding surgery center with two operating rooms and one procedure room, focused on safe, compassionate, high-quality care. The nurse supports patients throughout the perioperative process, from preoperative assessment and education through postoperative recovery and follow-up. The role contributes to individualized care, clear communication, and safe recovery in a weekday ambulatory surgery setting.

What you'll do

• Admit patients to the perioperative setting
• conduct preoperative interviews, assessments, education, counseling, and testing
• explain informed consent and answer patient and family questions
• communicate schedule and patient needs to the team
• administer medications and provide individualized care
• develop plans of care
• confirm accepted techniques and procedures are followed
• obtain and report lab results
• explain postoperative care
• maintain the postoperative area
• conduct postoperative telephone follow-up.
