Peer Recovery Coach

Job overview

The Peer Recovery Coach role is onsite in Highland, MD. Compensation is $17–$18 per hour. Tuerk House is a nonprofit behavioral health system serving patients through an integrated recovery model. The coach supports clients’ recovery and long-term stability by helping them identify needs and obstacles, connect with community resources, plan for discharge, and maintain engagement after leaving the program.

What you'll do

• Identify barriers to services and work with clients and their recovery management teams
• support discharge planning
• connect clients with mutual self-help groups
• provide peer advocacy
• communicate needs to clinical staff
• transport clients to referral sources or safe environments as necessary
• coach clients on community resources
• maintain post-program contact
• provide recovery education
• document services, referrals, and outcomes.

Why this role
