Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency is a referral and 24/7 emergency hospital providing specialty and emergency care. The technician supports hospital operations by providing veterinary patient care, assisting with examinations and procedures, monitoring and documenting patient conditions, and coordinating triage and discharge. The work helps deliver continuous emergency care to animals and service to their owners.

What you'll do

• Conduct examinations and diagnostic procedures
• take vital signs and collect samples
• administer medications, drugs, and vaccines
• bandage wounds
• assist with examinations and operations
• provide nursing care and feed patients
• maintain patient rooms, cages, equipment, and medical records
• support triage and discharge
• communicate patient status to owners as directed
• maintain supplies and equipment
• follow safety, sanitation, and controlled-drug procedures.

Why this role

Requires CVT, LVT, RVT, or LVMT credential and 2–3 years of emergency-room experience. Sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 is available based on experience as a credentialed veterinary technician.
