This work helps coordinate nursing coverage and maintain care and documentation standards across the facility.

What you'll do

• Oversee the nursing department in the Director of Nursing’s absence
• review staffing at shift change and assign or replace staff to meet patient-care needs
• conduct patient-care rounds
• coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges and ensure appropriate documentation
• assist with evening and night employee orientation
• supervise and evaluate evening and night employees.
