EMP Field Technician I / II

Job overview

The EMP Field Technician I / II role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, with travel up to 40% in the continental United States and overseas; the stated compensation range is $22–$31 per hour. SARA’s High-Power Electromagnetics Division supports research, development, and testing programs for government and commercial customers.

What you'll do

• Assist with RF and electromagnetic test and measurement tasks
• prepare, execute, and complete field and laboratory tests
• support high-altitude electromagnetic pulse testing, shielding effectiveness measurements, pulsed current injection, and continuous-wave immersion
• set up and maintain testbeds and equipment
• operate high-voltage equipment
• construct, maintain, and test electrical and mechanical systems
• document procedures and designs
• assist with test preparation, transport, and execution
• occasionally operate box trucks to transport equipment.
