- obtain physician dictations and pertinent records
- schedule surgery cases and notify staff
- prepare exam rooms
- review charts
- record vital signs and report deviations
- provide pre- and post-operative GI care
- assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- educate patients from scheduling through discharge
- schedule follow-up appointments and requisition supplies.
