The Estimating Intern role is onsite in Charleston, WV, with compensation of $15.00–$25.00 per hour. Hatzel & Buehler’s college internship program introduces students to careers in electrical construction and provides hands-on experience. The intern supports estimators preparing cost estimates and bid submissions for commercial electrical construction projects, learning quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation under experienced guidance.

What you'll do

• Assist with material and labor estimates, electrical bids and tender documents, supplier and subcontractor quote reviews, pricing analysis, drawing and specification reviews, supervised quantity takeoffs, customer quotations, risk identification, bid records, and post-bid comparisons. Learn estimating software such as Accubid and Bluebeam
• collaborate with estimators, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.
