The Hospice Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is onsite in patients’ homes and long-term care facilities in Massachusetts, including the Attleboro area and surrounding communities. The schedule is full time, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; compensation is not specified. HopeHealth’s hospice aides are part of its interdisciplinary hospice team. The aide provides personal care and light housekeeping according to the plan of care assigned by a professional nurse. The role also observes and reports changes in patient status and offers ongoing support to patients, families, and caregivers.

What you'll do

• Provide personal care and light housekeeping
• observe, report, and document patient status and care
• communicate with patients, families, and caregivers
• follow infection-control procedures
• recognize and report changes in body functioning or patient status to the RN case manager
• recognize emergencies and follow emergency procedures
• maintain confidentiality.
