What you'll do

• Assess nursing needs and provide direct care and case management
• make initial and reassessment visits
• report assessment results and recommended interventions to physicians
• communicate changes in patient condition and needs
• complete required assessment, progress, and discharge documentation
• manage medical illness and provide psychobiological interventions
• evaluate medications for effectiveness, adverse reactions, allergies, side effects, and contraindications
• instruct patients on ordered medication regimens and compliance
• administer intramuscular medications
• manage situational or other crises
• and instruct and supervise LVNs/LPNs and home health aides.
