The Fire Life & Safety Director (FLSD) role is an onsite position located in New York, NY, with a pay rate of $27.00-$29.00/hour. This role supports the safety operations at a residential property in Manhattan, ensuring compliance with all fire and life safety regulations. This position exists to oversee all fire and life safety operations, ensuring full compliance with FDNY regulations and internal emergency procedures. The director is responsible for monitoring safety systems, leading emergency response efforts, and maintaining a professional presence to ensure building safety.

What you'll do

• Serve as the designated Fire Life & Safety Director, ensuring compliance with all FDNY codes and regulations.
• Respond immediately to fire alarms, emergencies, and life safety incidents, coordinating response efforts as required.
• Monitor and operate fire life safety systems, access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Conduct inspections of post areas, safety equipment, and security systems to ensure operational readiness.
• Review daily memos, alerts, and security notifications to remain informed of building conditions.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate clearly with the Operations Desk, property management, and leadership regarding incidents or deficiencies.
