What you'll do

• Assists with planning, coordination and supervision of the Respiratory technical staff during the scheduled shift.
• Responsible for ensuring minimal staffing for shift coverage and works to increase staffing when patient volumes increase.
• Assists and leads in the process of new employee orientation and provides input into the interviewing, hiring and selection process of new hires.
• In addition to performing the task of a staff Respiratory Therapist.
• Team lead will be trained to perform Pulmonary Function Testing and/or Electroencephalograms (EEG).
• Participates in appraisal process of staff with Director.
• Develops monthly work schedule for technical staff.
• Monitors Facility Scheduler on a regular basis to maximize/minimize staffing to meet patient care needs.
• Shares responsibility for logging payroll hours into the KRONOS system.
• Shares responsibility for ordering departmental operation supplies and assists with inventory control.
• Assists with departmental PI projects.
• Assist Director of Cardiopulmonary with management of Blood Gas Laboratory.
• Performs monthly quality controls (QCs).
• Participates with Shared Governance and acts as the department DESSO.
