The Registered Nurse (RN) — Emergency Department role is onsite in Burlington, VT. Compensation is not specified. The nurse joins a 45-bed Level I Trauma Center serving patients across Vermont and Northern New York. The role provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for emergency patients. Nurses work with physicians, fellows and residents, registered nurses, mental health technicians, and emergency department technicians; they are trained to cover the charge nurse role and to precept.

What you'll do

• Assess patients and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in the Emergency Department
• collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
• train to cover the Charge RN role and precept. Current Vermont-recognized RN or compact licensure and an ADN are required
• a BSN is preferred. On-call is not required.
