What you'll do

• Use mechanical and technical equipment to locate underground telephone, electric, cable, gas, fiber-optic, water, and sewer facilities
• communicate with managers, excavation crews, and homeowners
• interpret job tickets
• read maps and blueprints
• determine efficient routes to locate sites
• remove and replace manhole lids.
