The Veterinary Technician or Assistant — Ophthalmology role is onsite in Boston, MA. Veterinary Assistants start at $22–$27 per hour; Certified Veterinary Technicians start at $25–$30 per hour. This temporary full-time position is 40 hours per week, four 10-hour days Tuesday through Friday, with some holiday coverage, and is expected to run through December 2026. The role supports Angell’s animal health and welfare mission. The position provides clinical and customer-service support to veterinarians and hospital staff in ophthalmology. It assists with outpatient and inpatient procedures, case management, technical and anesthetic procedures, and communication with clients and referring veterinarians.

What you'll do

• Provide technical support during outpatient and inpatient procedures
• assist with case management for hospitalized animals
• assist with technical and anesthetic procedures
• communicate with clients and, at times, referring veterinarians
• collaborate with veterinarians and Angell support staff.
