The Dietary Cook role is onsite in Yakima, WA. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. The cook supports the Dietary Department at Apple Valley Health & Rehabilitation, preparing meals that contribute to residents’ nutritional well-being. The role prepares and serves meals according to production plans and special diet orders, supports kitchen operations and tray service, and maintains food quality, cleanliness, and records. It helps ensure residents receive meals that meet dietary requirements and are served on schedule.

What you'll do

• Assist with dietary functions and personnel
• prepare and oversee food preparation
• support tray service and kitchen cleanliness
• maintain records as directed
• coordinate food and supply requirements
• follow special diet orders and approved substitutions
• follow food production plans
• plan, prepare, and serve meals in coordination with meal times
• supervise kitchen operations when the manager is absent.
