The CNC Lathe Machinist (Shift 1) is an onsite role based in Mansfield, TX. Compensation is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, and this role supports the production team at Vulcan Industrial. This role exists to machine high-quality complex components that conform to engineered drawings and specifications. The machinist works under direct supervision to ensure production standards are met while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

What you'll do

• Meets production standards set for parts being machined.
• Performs in-process inspections to ensure parts meet production specifications and quality standards.
• Effectively retrieve, understand, and adhere to QAP documentation.
• Determines all documentation, tooling, and gauging is present before beginning work.
• Evaluates operation and cutting tool performance.
• Detects and reports faulty machine operation, defective material, equipment, drawing discrepancies, and other unusual conditions.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
