The role guides staffing, regulatory readiness, resource allocation, and nursing manager development in support of organizational strategies and safe, coordinated care.

What you'll do

• Plan, organize, direct, evaluate, and coordinate inpatient nursing services
• collaborate with the CNO and medical center management on care quality, service improvements, and cost reduction
• develop quality and utilization standards with partners
• support safe transitions across the continuum of care
• provide clinical and professional oversight
• implement organizational strategies
• hire, retain, and develop staff
• mentor nursing managers
• oversee department standards and regulatory readiness
• manage human resources, labor relations, safety, and risk issues
• support nursing practice and patient outcomes
• contribute to recruitment and retention planning
• use clinical data and Health Connect to evaluate care and manage operations
• direct budgets and resource allocation
• improve financial performance and public relations.
