Weekend Activities Assistant

The Weekend Activities Assistant works onsite in Gardena, California, on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pay is $17–$19 per hour. The position reports to the Activities Director at West Gardena Post Acute. The assistant conducts scheduled activities and helps residents participate safely in group and individual programs. The role supports residents’ engagement and daily activity programming under the Activities Director’s supervision.

What you'll do

• Conduct scheduled activities
• respond to residents’ needs
• maintain participation records
• prepare daily activity programs under the Activities Director’s supervision
• direct volunteers as assigned
• help maintain activity calendars, bulletin boards, supplies, and equipment
• keep activity areas clean
• refer resident needs to appropriate departments.
