The position supports the Sisters of Mercy mission by overseeing clinical nursing services for Sisters residing at the convent. The director leads nursing operations and staff, ensuring safe, compassionate, coordinated, and individualized care. The role oversees clinical standards, medication practices, care planning, regulatory compliance, quality, staffing and scheduling, and the nursing department budget, while collaborating with the Convent Administrator, Medical Director, physicians, families, and other partners.

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee nursing services and evidence-based care
• supervise, educate, evaluate, and develop nursing staff
• oversee medication administration, care plans, health records, clinical procedures, and care transitions
• ensure regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and quality improvement
• manage nursing schedules, budget, and resources
• provide direct nursing care when needed
• accept on-call responsibilities as needed and work rotating schedules, including weekends and holidays, as assigned.
